Align Pilates C8-S Pro Pilates Reformer

New for 2023 comes the C8-S. Whereas the bestselling C8-S was optimized for maximum performance, adaptability, and ease of maintenance, the C8-S seeks to repackage this proven design into a sleeker and more stylish machine. The C8-S focuses on clean flowing lines achieved by bringing the standing platform and rope risers within the frame and simplifying the legs. The C8-S is particularly aimed at the group reformer studio and the more style-oriented home studio.

The C8-S is operationally similar to the C8-S, using the same carriage, runner profile, running gear and adjustment systems, so you can expect the same smooth and silent user experience. For owners of existing C-Series the C8-S also uses the same Jump Board, Mattress Inserts, and Platform Extender. The C8-S comes in a standard height of 26cm which can be raised to 42cm with its optional, almost seamless, leg extensions.

The C8-S frame is able to use a Half Cadillac, using a “clamp-Style” bracket to preserve its clean look. Alternatively, the reformer can be used with our Wall Mounted Half Cadillac, which offers a superior experience as there will be no clanking Half Cadillac springs (or need to remove these) when using the Jump Board. In a studio setting this Wall Mounted Half Cadillac also means that the reformer and Half Cadillac can be separated to create two workstations, rather than just having the one.

What is the Rapid Change (RC) Spring Bar and how does it differ from a normal spring bar?

The Rapid Change RC Spring bar is the new patent pending Spring bar from Align-Pilates. A traditional spring bar is used in conjunction with a separate carriage stopped and this can take up to 12 actions to change on a 5-spring reformer. The RC spring bar features integral carriage stoppers and is adjusted with the springs attached, it can be moved with one hand in a single action saving additional actions every time you move the spring bar. The RC spring bar is a game changer in group reformer classes and it also prevents incorrect carriage stopper positions, and the possibility of leaving your springs in a stressed position, which will reduce their life and performance.
