Shipping & Handling

Important

Upon delivery, inspect your order and note any shipping damage to the outer box/skid on the carrier’s waybill prior to signing for receipt of the order. If you appoint someone to sign for your order on your behalf, please ensure that they are aware of this requirement and are over 18 years of age.

We will not be responsible for damage to your order that is not reported and noted on the waybill. Please use care when opening your freight. Box cutters should not be used as they may damage the upholstered parts of your equipment.

Any damage to product or missing/incorrect items must be reported to your salesperson or customer care within three (3) business days of receipt.

Reformers and large equipment

Free shipping within continental US and Canada

Large equipment is shipped by ground via a freight carrier, carefully packed in a cardboard box and secured to a wooden skid.

When placing your order, you will be advised of your delivery options:

  1. Curbside is a liftgate service, delivered to curbside as close to your building as possible. You do not need to assist the carrier in removing the equipment from the truck. It is recommended that two people are available to assist with unpacking and carrying into the premises. You are responsible for unpacking, installation and disposal of packaging materials
  2. White glove service includes the carrier unpacking your shipment, carrying it inside and leaving it in the room of your choice (additional charges apply for stairs). You do not need to assist the carrier in removing the equipment from the truck. The carrier will remove the packing material and skids

Unless specified all freight quoted is for ‘curbside’ delivery and does not include inside delivery or set up of the equipment as part of the delivery service. Once your shipment is in transit, your delivery method (for example, curbside or white glove) or destination cannot be easily changed. If changes are possible, carrier fees may apply.

You are responsible for setting up your own equipment. Reformers, Wall Units and Ladder Barrels arrive 90% assembled. Cadillacs and Stability Chairs require additional assembly. All products are shipped with instructions and basic tools to facilitate this process and our customer care team is available to assist with any questions you may have.

If the carrier attempts to make the delivery at the appointed time and you are not present, a re-delivery fee will apply. Fees and policies vary from carrier to carrier and will be the responsibility of the consignee. The carrier will call you to schedule your delivery. Delivery is generally done during regular business hours. If available, after-hour or weekend deliveries will be subject to additional fees. Additional charges for stairs and unusual conditions (e.g. narrow passageways, remote locations) may also apply. Please make us aware in advance so that the freight quote may be adjusted accordingly. Carrier storage fees may apply in the event you delay or postpone your delivery after scheduling it. On rare occasions, unforeseen circumstances may cause your delivery to be rescheduled.

All authorized returns must include an RA (return authorization) number (see details below).

Reformers and large equipment

All Merrithew equipment is manufactured with the utmost care, using the highest quality components and carries one of the best warranties in the industry. As all products are custom made to order, equipment purchased from Merrithew may not be returned or exchanged for refund.

If your product is defective, contact our customer care team for assistance in resolving the issue.

Defective equipment will be repaired or replaced per the product warranty. If we opt to repair or replace your equipment, we may require that your product be returned for inspection and analysis at our manufacturing facility prior to repairing or replacing the product.

Note, discounted items may have been gently used as demos, returned unused, or discontinued. While they are fully functional, they may have slight blemishes or minor imperfections.

Equipment limited warranties

The Company warrants that all new equipment is free of manufacturing defects in workmanship and materials, subject to the terms below. This warranty becomes effective at the invoice date of the original purchase. Parts repaired or replaced under the terms of this warranty will be warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to notify the Company of any change of contact information. This will ensure that in the unlikely event of a replacement or safety notice, the company will be able to contact you immediately.

This warranty applies to equipment:

  • While equipment remains in the possession of original purchaser and proof of purchase is demonstrated
  • If claims are made within the part-specific warranty period
  • If upgrades are made as required by the Company

This warranty shall be null and void if:

  • All safety, maintenance and usage guidelines as specified in the appropriate equipment manuals are not followed
  • Equipment is used for any other purpose other than as intended, is stored or used outdoors, in environments without adequate climate/humidity controls
  • Equipment has been subjected to accident, misuse, abuse, improper service or any modification not authorized by the Company
  • An At Home SPX® Reformer is used in Pilates studios, fitness or health clubs, gyms, spas or any other type of commercial facility offering fitness services to the public

Failure to change springs on spring-loaded equipment (Reformers, Cadillacs, Chairs, Tower Trainers, Wall Units, Spring Walls, etc.) every two (2) years may void this warranty. Warranty does not cover damage to the finish of any equipment nor shipping charges, customs clearance fees (if applicable) or any costs incurred in installing repaired or replacement parts shipped under the provisions of this warranty.

At its option, the Company will repair or replace warranted parts, provided that any such failure is due to a defect in workmanship or materials and provided that such failure occurs and is reported to the Company within the part-specific warranty period.

  • Professional · Rehab Reformers
    • SPX® Max, V2 Max (formerly the Professional Reformer), SPX® Max Plus, V2 Max Plus and Rehab V2 Max Plus Reformers:
      • Limited lifetime warranty on aluminum rails, components of the frame and related welding and Footbar mechanisms (excluding Comfort Footbar)
    • MPX Reformers:
      • 10 year warranty on aluminum rails, components of the frame and related welding and Footbar mechanisms (excluding Comfort Footbar)
  • At Home Reformers
    • Limited lifetime warranty on aluminum rails, components of the frame and related welding and Footbar mechanisms (excluding Comfort Footbar)
    • This warranty shall be null and void if an At Home SPX® Reformer is used in Pilates studios, fitness or health clubs, gyms, spas or any other type of commercial facility offering fitness services to the public
  • All Reformer models
    • Ninety (90) day limited warranty on fabric and upholstery. See below for conditions of warranty
    • One (1) year limited warranty on wear and tear items, including: ropes, rollers, straps, spring clips, plastic pulley bar receptacle sleeves, Comfort Footbar covering, plastic Reformer feet, spring O-rings, Molded Spring Holder and spring covers
    • Two (2) year limited warranty on all other Reformer components

Reformers accessories

  • Two (2) year limited warranty on wood components, frames and related welding of Reformer Accessory Boards, including the Jumpboard, Cardio-Tramp® Rebounder, Rotational Diskboard, Jumpboard, Cross-bow and Vinyasa Triangle

Every warp, knot, or mineral streak is a testament to a tree’s life, and the years it lived through. Not every piece of Baltic Birch will have patches or streaks, but that doesn’t make it better or worse than the parts that do. The patches do not affect the integrity or quality; the wood stands up to our high-quality standards and is natural and unique. Merrithew will not replace products that may have oval patches, knots, or biscuits as they fall within our quality standards. Please see the examples below for reference.
